Q: Why is there a transaction fee when buying tickets?
This is a standard practice when using SEE Tickets who are our ticket provider. The transaction fee is £1.50 for E-ticket (Print-at-home) or £2.50 for Standard Delivery. Please note that this fee is per transaction and not per ticket. This fee covers staff to come to the venue to scan your tickets, processing the orders, transaction bank charges and delivery charges on the standard delivery option. Using See Tickets means that we can offer ticket sales and customer service, 7 days a week for 24 hours a day.
Q: Is car parking FREE and will there be any issues with parking in 2019?
Yes and there is a special area for our VIP ticket holders. These will all be clearly signed posted as you enter the showground.
Will there be any issues with parking again this year? The free parking was an issue this year for many of our visitors, with lots of people having to park further away from the entrance than anticipated. We can only apologise for this. This was due to the wet weather in the run up to the show meaning that the venue would not allow the usual grass option for parking which we have been able to use for the past 9 years. However we are working really hard on improving this for the 2019 show, in deep talks with both the venue and our planning teams and reviewing all options whatever the weather throws at us and please be assured that this is one of our very top priorities for the 2019 show.
Q: Is there disabled access?
Yes there is. Please show your blue badge on arrival to the showground to gain access to this designated area.
Q: Concession Tickets
Concession tickets are only available for our visitors who are over 65's, ages 12 to 15 years and students. Proof will be required. Disabled visitors are eligible to access a carer ticket for free entry, when purchasing a standard adult advance ticket.
Q: Can a disabled carer get in the show for free?
The Big One welcomes visits from people with disabilities to the event along with their assistance dogs and we take every precaution to ensure maximum safety and enjoyment for everyone. A person will be eligible for complimentary access to the show if they are accompanying a registered disabled person that has one of the following proofs of entitlement and they have an application form filled in:
1. Letter from consultant/doctor detailing the name of the person, the condition and why they are eligible and in need of a carer.
2. Letter/notice of entitlement for Personal Independent Payment (PIP)
3. Copy/proof of DLA entitlement
4. Letter/proof of Dept of Working Pension (DWP)
Any of these proofs of entitlement will need to be supported by photographic ID.
