With under two weeks to go we can reveal several additions to the show that will give visitors the opportunity to try their hand at something different to their normal fishing… and win some brilliant prizes too!

We’re delighted to welcome Dovetail Games to Farnborough on March 23 & 24. Creators of the world’s leading fishing games – Eurofishing Simulator and the new Fishing Sim World – the lads will also be staging a huge competition for avid gamers and anglers.

Top prize will be a new PlayStation 4, awarded to the angler who catches the biggest fish, plus loads more prizes including copies of their new game and exclusive T-shirts.

The Big One show director Vince Davies said: “This is so much more than a tackle show, with loads of things to do and exclusive entertainment for all ages.

“Dovetail will be showing off Fishing Sim World and all that it has to offer from bass fishing in the USA to carp fishing at Gigantica and even pike fishing on the Grand Union Canal.”

Tackle giant Shimano is making a huge return to the Big One in 2019, and wants you to take on its biggest challenge yet – the Shimano Fish Fighting Simulator.

Armed with the company’s latest, super-tough tackle, you’ll be able to show off your skills as you take on some of the planet’s hardest-fighting fish species.

“We’re going to give visitors the chance to put our new Aero Technium reel and Ultra carp rods to the ultimate test with a simulator that really pulls back!” said Shimano’s Ian Smith.

If monster fish are your passion you can’t afford to miss the exclusive talks from the experts in big catches, including River Monsters TV star Jeremy Wade, carp legend Terry Hearn, and the team behind the hit TV series Monster Carp – Ali Hamidi, Tom Dove and Neil Spooner. All these stars are appearing in the new John Wilson Legends Theatre.

In addition, you’ll be able to try and buy the latest kit for predators in the new Lure Live Arena where you’ll find interactive demos from the world’s best lure anglers.

“There has never been a line up of stars as big as this at any show,” confirmed Vince. “I look forward to seeing you all there.”
